Meet Mercedes

I am a devoted Christian, wife, mother, and interior design consultant and home stylist.

My name, Mercedes, means Our Lady of Mercy, and bestows its honor from the Virgin Mary. In her spirit, I have become a woman of many mercies, and a mother of many children, Jacey (16), Nicholas (13), Joshua (13), Journey (10), and Nile (7) — my name manifesting itself into my destiny. My children mean the world to me, bringing immeasurable joy and invaluable life lessons from our day-to-day experiences together. Every single day I learn something new about the people they’re becoming, about myself, and it encourages my heart to see the world a little brighter.

I am also a wife to former NFL player and coach Jerricho Cotchery. The life of football was an amazing journey, and it’s what brought us to the Queen City. We’ve been privileged to grow in love, grow our family, and grow in the Lord together. The great state of North Carolina has also blessed me with a unique opportunity to own a furniture store. I was the owner of Design Avenue in Asheville for 5 years and now I have begun a new journey with Inspired Interiors with Mercedes.

My values around design and living in a home you love are as strong as my values around my faith and my family. As a woman who fearlessly goes after what she wants in order to create a life (and a home) she loves, I hope to be a woman who does everything with respect and honor in an effort to move you and ultimately inspire you. This makes me more than just a Home Stylist but an inspiration/inspirer for both your life and your home’s design.
